The Division Comes Bundled With Select GeForce Graphics Cards From Today

February 17, 2016 by Stephen Daly

A free copy of the game will be bundled with GeForce GTX 970 cards or better.

The Division

Nvidia has announced that its high-end graphics cards are now being bundled with free copies of Ubisoft’s upcoming open world shooter, Tom Clancy’s The Division.

The PC hardware maker has confirmed that purchases of a GeForce GTX 970 graphics card or better, or a laptop equipped with a GeForce GTX 970M card or better, will include a copy of the game.

The Division support resolutions up to 4K on PC and allows users to enhance their experience with Nvidia GameWorks technologies such as Nvidia HBAO+ and Nvidia PCSS. The Percentage Closer Soft Shadows technology offers realistic soft shadows and contact-hardening that progressively soften the further you travel from the casting object, thus increasing the game’s realism.

Ubisoft recommends a GTX 970 or better for the game’s upcoming beta to ensure optimal performance.

The beta begins tomorrow, February 18th on Xbox One, with PC and PS4 players able to join in on Friday until the trial ends on Sunday, February 21st. You can watch a new trailer to get you in the mood here. This beta will offer additional missions which were not included in the first trial last month and give players their first opportunity to meet the Cleaners faction in an underground section of the city called Subway Morgue.

Set in New York weeks after the outbreak of a devastating biological attack on the city during the Black Friday sales. In a bid to restore order to the city, a secret task force of sleeper agents called The Division is activated.
