The Division’s Open Beta Trailer Showcases New Content

February 17, 2016 by Ian Miles Cheong

The Division’s latest trailer showcases new content from the open beta.

The Division
The Division
‘s upcoming beta is almost upon us. It’s set to run from February 19 to 21 across Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC platforms. Players on the Xbox One will have 24-hours early access beginning February 18.

The game is set amidst a biological attack on New York City that decimates its population and throws the city into chaos. Armed gangs and escaped convicts from Rikers Island roam the streets, staking out claims of the city for themselves. It’s up to a covert government taskforce called The Division to put an end to the chaos and bring the city back to order, one co-op mission at a time.

The new beta will include additional missions that weren’t present in the previous beta, which took place late last month. Players will also meet the faction known as the Cleaners for the first time ever as they head underground into a cheery little place nicknamed the Subway Morgue. I’m sure you can imagine why it’s called that.

Players who partake in the open beta will earn a special in-game reward that can be unlocked through Ubisoft’s Uplay service when the game comes out on March 8. If you’re planning on playing the game when it comes out, there’s no reason not to try out the beta and claim the reward when the time comes.

Today, the publisher released a new video showcasing the open beta and all it has to offer. Check it out below.
