The stupidly named Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City will be making its foray to the United States on March 20 next year, announced Capcom today. Players will take on the role of one of four Umbrella Corp agents out on the hunt for Leon Kennedy in this retelling of the story.
Operation Raccoon City poses a "what if" scenario. What if Leon Kennedy was caught by the Umbrella Security Service and killed?
Well, we don't really care about that. What we do care about is the Left 4 Dead style co-op that the game will have to offer as it pits players against hordes of undead foes and a host of bio-organic weapons who want nothing more than to kill them.
Those who preorder the game through retailers will receive an additional costume for one of each of the six playable characters, along with two bonus weapons. The game is also available in Special Edition format, with exclusive art and eight bonus weapons.
The game will be available on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A PC edition is forthcoming.
