Ubisoft Produces The Division YouTuber SuperFilm: Agent Origins

January 20, 2016 by Ryan Parreno

This video’s tres cool, but for mature audiences only.

We’ve heard of fans reaching out to game companies to make videos of their games, but how about a game company doing the reaching out? That’s what Ubisoft did for Tom Clancy’s The Division when they produced fan film Agent Origins.

Coproduced with YouTube creators Corridor Digital, RocketJump, and Devin Supertramp, as well as Amazon Prime, the film short dramatizes the early events that build up to the game. Ubisoft hired the best of the best, as the whole film feels like a polished, if brief, Hollywood production (and one much better than anything Lloyd Kaufman can cough up). You can learn more about the production of these shorts here.

Each creator has the different shorts uploaded, but you can watch them all in order here, thanks to the official Australian Division YouTube account (mature audiences only). If you have Amazon Prime Video, they have a special supercut version with five minutes extra footage free for customers.

Tom Clancy’s The Division comes out on March 8 for the PC, Xbox One and PS4.
