A little more than 20 minutes of gameplay footage of Tom Clancy’s The Division alpha has leaked. While not the original source, this NeoGAF thread (originally spotted by GameSpot) serves as a good hub for different places the video can be found. As of this writing, the YouTube and DailyMotion videos have been taken down, but a couple of the mirror links are still working. Still, the mirror links are likely to be taken down soon regardless, so it’s best to look at them quickly.
The footage comes from the recent Xbox One alpha for the game, which required players to sign a non-disclosure agreement saying they would not post videos online or share their experiences publicly.
The video shows a player wandering the snowy streets of New York. A hub is also shown, and the player is given quests to find personell who can help bring all parts of the safe shelter back online. Interacting with merchants is also shown, along with the map UI and the crafting UI. There’s a few minutes of combat towards the end of the video, but most of it is exploration and menus. Several features seemed to be closed for the alpha.
The Division launches on March 8, 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It has been delayed multiple times. If you preorder now, you get access to a beta that should start early in the new year.
