With so much buzz surrounding Battlefield 3, DICE's latest foray in the first person shooter genre, the future of the Bad Company series has been somewhat unclear. Fret not though, Bad Company fans: there's probably more Bad Company on the way.
Patrick Liu, the Battlefield series producer, recently spoke to The Guardian and revealed that DICE isn't finished with Bad Company just yet. "We haven't killed Bad Company! But we can only make so many games. Be patient – there might be something else coming up," he teases.
Don't expect a new title anytime soon, though–DICE isn't about making yearly iterations of its franchises. "We don't have any plans to make Battlefield an annual title – we want to make it ourselves we don't want anyone else doing it!"
For now, Bad Company junkies will have to get their fix from Battlefield 3, which is slated to drop on October 25th. There's also a possibility of a downloadable title in the interim, but for now, BF3 is all we get.
