Doctor Who fans playing the latest Call of Duty game, Black Ops 3, might be happy to know there is an Easter Egg in the game, designed after the Weeping Angels from the sci-fi show.
As reported by Polygon, players such as The Hidden Blade noticed the Easter Egg, which occurs on the multiplayer map Nuk3town, when players shoot off all of the arms of the mannequins found on the map. The arms must also be shot off within a few minutes for the Easter Egg to trigger, but when it is done correctly, the mannequins will come to life and attack the players on the map.
The interesting part about how they attack the players is that they will only move when no one is looking at them, ala the Weeping Angels that were first introduced in the season three episode of the revived Doctor Who show entitled “Blink.” Given time, the mannequins will catch up to players and then beat them to death.
Polygon also has a video of what the mannequins look like as they stumble forward when no one is looking at them.
Interestingly, this Easter Egg has only been found on the Nuk3town multiplayer map, which was delivered as a freebie to players who pre-ordered Black Ops 3.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 was released on Nov. 6, 2015 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
