The first Fire Emblem Warriors took a more simplistic approach to things, focusing more on the universes of Fire Emblem coming together rather than the game taking a more unique step forward. Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, while set in the familiar land of Fodlan from Three Houses, may bring a much deeper story than the original. A new trailer is highlighting just that, revealing new characters and teasing the new roles of Byleth and Sothis.
In Three Hopes, you played as Byleth and became the professor to one of three different houses (to start), guiding them on a journey to save or rule Fodlan. This time around, you play as a new mercenary on a mission to stop the Ashen Demon, picking one of the Three Houses in order to help make Fodlan the best it can be. It appears that Byleth and Sothis are going to be true antagonists this time around, which makes your character and the being that is protecting them all the more curious.
Another big surprise from the new trailer is that the fourth house of Garreg Mach, the Ashen Wolves, are all here as well. True to this game’s form, the characters all have new looks and abilities. This includes Hapi, who is able to summon beasts to fight in battle.
Some aspects of the original game which may or may not make a reappearance are tea time or spending time with individual students. While that doesn’t confirm things such as romances in the game, it does hint at the possibility.
