Following yesterday’s reveal at the Paris Game Show, Naughty Dog has shared more details on Uncharted 4’s multiplayer component.
Performance wise, Uncharted 4’s multiplayer will surprise you. As opposed to the story campaign running 30FPS at 1080p, multiplayer will be 60FPS, at 900p. Apparently, Naughty decided to flip their focus for multiplayer out of their belief it should perform more smoothly rather than look better. if you did see yesterday’s trailer, you have already decided if you liked how it looked under these specs or not.
We also covered some features you will be able to make use of in multiplayer, including sidekicks, and a series first, mystical, or supernatural powers. We now know that some of the weapons, tools, and features like these can be purchased via microtransactions. Everything you can buy via microtransactions can also be earned and purchased with in-game money.
As for co-op? Naughty Dog is not ready to talk about cooperative multiplayer yet, but they have more than enough time to fulfill their promise of discussing coop later.
