Crytek's Robinson: The Journey has been confirmed for PlayStation VR.
The announcement was made by the studio's Cevat Yerli during Sony's Paris Games Week press conference where the above trailer was also revealed.
In the video your avatar explores a pre-historic environment with a flying robot companion.
Crytek explained, "Robinson: The Journey will offer players an unparalleled sense of presence in a game world as they assume the role of a young boy who has crash-landed on a mysterious planet. With freedom to explore their surroundings in 360 degrees of detail, players will become pioneers by interacting with the rich ecosystem around them and unearthing incredible secrets at every turn."
On the PlayStation Blog, executive producer Elijah Freeman noted that the team aims to create a level of authenticity "on a much, much grander scale."
"That means not just making something visually stunning, but also telling a story that is emotionally engaging and which resonates with players beyond the game world," he wrote.
"It's a bold ambition, we know. But just as PlayStation VR will invite players to enjoy gaming in an entirely new way, I think it should also inspire us as developers to create ambitious experiences worthy of this amazing new technology."
