The hotly anticipated GTA Online: Lowriders update arrived today but included some unexpected features.
Twitter user Yan2295 reported last night that the Updates files contain something called "mphalloween."
The Halloween stuff will be part of what they call the "Halloween Surprise". Sorry Rockstar, it's no longer a surprise. 😡 #GTAOnline

The content includes a new weapon (a flashlight that can kill people), 13 Halloween masks, and two new cars.

The surprise Halloween DLC comes with the Lowriders update and will probably kick into effect closer to the holiday. Also included in Lowriders is an option that explodes whoever finishes a lap in last place. According to Rockstar's patch notes, "The Host can set it to be effective each lap, every 15 seconds, every 30 seconds or every 60 seconds, the player in last will be blown up according to the option selected."
Other new updates include new celebrations/interactions, pearlescent paint for Crew colors, and the previously reported fourth purchasable property which will allow a user to own up to 40 cars.
