Quantic Dream, the makers of Heavy Rain and Indigo Prophecy have confirmed today that they are working on an all new title exclusive to the PlayStation 3. Studio chief David Cage called the game "something exciting, something different."
"I really like Sony, I honestly do," said Cage, explaining his decision to team up with Sony once again. "They've made some bets with developers like Fumito Ueda and Media Molecule. I kind of feel loyal to them."
Cage says that the game will "build on the foundations of Heavy Rain" but hopes that it will "go forward in a very, very different way."
"I could make Heavy Rain 2 but I've said what I've had to say about it," said Cage in an interview with Develop. Cage believes that the strength of Quantic Dream is its "capacity to create new ideas, to make something that breaks new ground."
Quantic Dream will continue to remain an independent studio, unlike Sucker Punch and Media Molecule, which were very recently acquired by Sony.
