For Star Wars fans, they’ve been enjoying a new slate of material even since The Mandalorian came to Disney+. Since then, we’ve gotten word and releases of various kinds, including The Book of Boba Fett earlier this year, and the Obi-Wan Kenobi limited series started on the 27th. But, there are more still even coming, it’s just that some of the details on them haven’t been as forthcoming as others. Thankfully, Disney and Lucasfilm have finally done a spread on the series and when they should arrive.
So, as said before, the next series to come is Obi-Wan Kenobi, but after that will be the Andor series this Summer. That’s Cassian Andor from Rogue One if you didn’t know, a prequel series about how he became who he was before the events of that fateful movie. As for The Mandalorian Season 3, that’ll arrive either late this year, or early next year, so be prepared for that.
The Ashoka series (which was revealed to have started filming recently), will definitely be debuting in 2023. Finally, The Acolyte is set “a bit further off”, so either late 2023, or maybe 2024, there’s been very little word on that series to be honest.
All in all, Star Wars fans have a lot to look forward to, and it’s very likely that things like The Book of Boba Fett could come back for a second season, not to mention more series being announced based on what might be popular, or what they think they can make money off of.
It is Disney after all. But regardless, this is good for fans because they’re going to get more consistent content that they can enjoy throughout the year and not just something they can enjoy every other year if they were lucky as the movies often had them do.
