Bethesda has released a new gameplay trailer for id Software's DOOM, which focuses on the game's 'Glory Kills'.
These are brutal melee finishing moves, with Executive Producer Marty Stratton commenting they developed as a result of the game's "push foward combat" philosophy.
“We have strict time limits on how long they can last,” Chief Technology Officer Robert Duffy says. “They’re hundreds of milliseconds, just because you want to keep the player moving.”
You can find out more about Glory Kills in the video below which is every bit as violent as you'd expect.
Publisher Bethesda recently insisted that the revived game will be able to compete against other big shooters. DOOM will run at 1080p and 60fps on consoles.
The game is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One in Spring 2016.
