If you follow my Twitter account you'll know that I'm a huge fan of mechanical keyboards, and part of the draw of that hobby is the ability to customize your keyboard to your heart's content with high quality keycaps.
Those who are really into mechanical keyboards even go so far as to order artisanal keycaps from makers within the community to put on their keyboards, replacing their ESC key with faces of robots, potatos, and other custom-molded keys.
A few days ago, I stumbled upon this DOOM Guy keycap made for Cherry MX stems, which most popular mechanical keyboards use.
According to its creator, who posted it on Reddit, the keycap is made of multiple 3D printed parts made from various colors of PLA plastics, all of which have been chemically smoothed and fused together.
As you can probably tell just by looking at it, the keycap is inspired by the Ultimate DOOM poster, which features the DOOM Guy gunning down hordes of demons beneath him.
The creator, vOidtek, is selling these keycaps on his personal store for $35.00 a pop if you're interested in replacing the ESC key on your keyboard with one of them.
