FromSoftware Releases Elden Ring Beginner’s Guide Video

February 25, 2022 by Matt Cook

This video is a must-watch.

It’s Elden Ring launch day and players around the world are starting to dig into FromSoftware’s latest and biggest Souls game. As any Souls fan knows, the games don’t give players much, if any, direction. The charm of the game is that players can explore and discover everything for themselves. To help out budding new players, FromSoftware has released an Elden Ring beginner’s guide. Something to help new and old fans alike to get started in the massive world of Lands Between. Check out the video below.

The nearly 20-minute video is incredibly in-depth and gives new players all the skills they need to survive, well kind of, the world of Lands Between. The video covers everything from the basics of combat and the stamina system to crafting items and outfitting the tarnished. It’s well worth a watch for anyone who is new to Souls games.

Elden Ring is the first open-world Souls game from developer FromSoftware. The developer has been making Souls games since 2009 so Elden Ring is a big departure in terms of how much players can do. It’s therefore easy to be overwhelmed and lost in the game. Veteran players will enjoy figuring out what to do and where to go as they play the game. New players are more likely to be intimidated by the game so it makes sense why Bandai Namco and FromSoftware decided to release this helpful Elden Ring beginner’s guide.

Elden Ring was released today to rave reviews. The game received nearly unanimous perfect scores from reviewers and became the highest-ranked game ever on Opencritic. Although, like with most games these days, the game has been released with some performance issues. Bandai Namco quickly released a statement detailing important fixes that are planned. It doesn’t cover all of the issues that players have but hopefully, it means the companies are listening to fan feedback.
