Among Us was one of the breakout hit video games thanks to the worldwide health pandemic outbreak. This game launched years prior, but it wasn’t until 2020 where most of us were quarantined home, that we discovered this indie title. Since then, the game has blown up in popularity which convinced the development team, InnerSloth, to come back and continue offering support for the game. Now, the studio is moving into 2022, with even more content planned for fans.
The Among Us game is not slowing down just yet. There have been plenty of updates for the project since the developers came back in 2020. Now the studio has even more content planned throughout 2022. The studio recently took to Twitter to highlight a few of these planned-out updates. So far, we know that there is some quality of life updates in the works, along with a friends list.
If you ever logged in for some random games and met some players you want to keep enjoying the gameplay experience with, you’re in luck. The friend list is one of the first updates planned out this year, but other projects are coming to the game, including more roles. Then the popular online makeshift game mode, Hide ‘n’ Seek is coming along with more cubes. Finally, just like some other popular games available online, InnerSloth is working on more collaborations.
These crossover collabs will likely come in the form of accessories like masks. That’s just a small taste of what the studio has planned out and is eager to release into the game. More content is planned out, but we’ll have to wait for their official reveals in the coming months. In the meantime, players have recently seen this game release on additional platforms this past month. Alongside the Nintendo Switch, December 2021 also saw Among Us release for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
