Far Cry 6 will release the Pagan Min: Control DLC on January 11, according to a new Twitter announcement from Ubisoft. This comes two months after the previous DLC Vaas: Insanity, and will allow players to take on the role of the popular Far Cry 4 villain Pagan Min. The DLC will be available on PC via the Ubisoft Store or the Epic Games Store. It will also be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. Like the previous DLC, Pagan Min: Control is included in the $39.99 Far Cry 6 Season Pass, or it can be purchased separately for $14.99.
“Players will embody Pagan Min, the iconic villain from Far Cry 4 in a brand-new experience inspired by the roguelite genre taking place in the depths of the villain’s troubled psyche,” Ubisoft wrote in a press release. “Blending intense action and storytelling, Pagan: Control will provide a unique opportunity for players to explore Pagan’s mind, learn more about his past, and face off against familiar faces as he struggles to break free from his cycle of guilt and regrets.”
The third and final piece of Season Pass villain DLC, Joseph: Collapse, will allow players to take on the role of Far Cry 5 villain Joseph Seed. Although no release date has been announced, fans can expect it to drop sometime this year.
Far Cry 6 takes place on the fictional Caribbean island of Yara, which is ruled as a dictatorship by Anton Castillo. Raising his son to follow in his footsteps, players take on the role of guerilla fighter Dani Rojas and attempt to overthrow Castillo’s regime. The title was initially praised for improving upon the typical gameplay formula but was heavily criticized for its lack of innovation.
Far Cry 6 was released on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Luna, and Stadia on October 7, 2021. The previous Vaas: Insanity DLC dropped on November 16, 2021, taking players deep inside the twisted mind of Far Cry 3‘s Vaas Montenegro.
