We now have full details on Mario Kart 8’s 2nd DLC Pack.
You get three playable characters, Villager (and you can choose between Male and Female Villagers), Isabelle, and Dry Browser. There are also four new vehicles; two bikes (Bone Rattler and City Tripper) and two karts (Streetle and P-Wing).
We also now know all eight courses:
Animal Crossing: This course was previewed in the last Direct, with much of the course seemingly set in the village. The village’s inhabitants, including Reese and Cyrus, Tom Nook and his nephews, and others watch the race from the sidelines. Most interesting is the course changes season randomly each time you race.
Big Blue: Nintendo adds in the 2nd most iconic race course in F-Zero, and a frequent returning stage in the Super Smash Bros series, as a course in Mario Kart. While this only makes some F-Zero fans hungry for a new game, it’s certainly not an unwelcome addition.
Baby Park: This was rumored to be coming back before, and now it’s confirmed. It’s also the same track originally found in Mario Kart Double Dash.
Cheese Land: This is based on the cheese themed track from Mario Kart Super Circuit. Cheese obstacles and a giant Chain Chomp await.
Koopa City: This track comes from Mario Kart 7, and it will see you racing around a city at night in the rain with dazzling neon everywhere.
Ribbon Road: also returning from Mario Kart Super Circuit, the track has been remade impressively into what seems to be a toy racing track filled with ribbons and other amusements.
Super Bell Subway: This new track sees you racing around an underground subway. Watch out for incoming trains!
Wild Woods: May or may not be inspired by Wario’s Wild Woods, you drive around a giant tree filled with Toads and Shy Guys.
Mario Kart 8 DLC Pack 2 – Animal Crossing X Mario Kart 8 will be arriving April 23 for Wii U. You can check out some official screenshots from the press release below.
