Age of Empires 2: HD will receive a new expansion, publisher Microsoft has announced in a blog post.
A lone screenshot of camal archers, which you can see above, was released and the expansion will include "new civilizations, campaigns, game modes, units and more." No further details were provided, including no information regarding a release date.
The blog update also included patch notes and multiplayer lobby changes.
Age of Empires II: HD was released in 2013 and was based on the classic 1991 historical real-time strategy game with mod support and a new expansion, The Forgotten. The expansion was developed by Forgotten Empires which is back to make the new untitled addition.
Microsoft says the new content will stay true to the original game's own expansions, "If your focus is more on the original Age of Empires II experience, the new content development means you can look forward to additional support and features that benefit every owner."
