Sony and From Software's newly released Bloodborne has co-op mode in it, but it's a little obscure, and getting that mode to work requires jumping through a few hoops. Some might argue that the obscure methods of finite co-op may have lost their novelty, but others believe it's this sort of thing that makes From Software's games amazing.
So here's what you'll need to do if you want to play with other players and get them to fight alongside you.
1. The first thing you need to do is to find an item called the "Beckoning Bell", which you can acquire from the Hunter's Dream after defeating the game's first boss.
2. You'll need some Insight, which you can get from items and defeating boss monsters.
3. When you're out in the world, you can use the Beckoning Bell to signal that you want to activate co-op. You don't have to stand in a spot, and you can go about your way through the game once you've triggered the Beckoning Bell.
4. To get into co-op with other players, they'll need to be in the same area as you, so get in voice chat and tell whoever you want to play with to meet you at a specific location. You can also team up with random players in areas before boss zones and outside of check points.
5. To play with someone specific, enter your options, select Network, and make sure you enter a password in the "Password Matching" field. Make sure you and your friend have the same password and you'll be able to join each others' games.
You can use the Silencing Bell if you want to end your co-op session. Have fun!
