Microsoft has put forth the announcement that its next big operating system,Windows 10, is set to launch this summer.
The company revealed today that Windows 10 will launch this summer in 190 countries and in 11 languages, but it not specify an exact release date.
The OS, which will be available as a free upgrade for anyone who owns Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, will launch with the Xbox app that brings Xbox 360/Xbox One and PC players closer together than ever before by tying them to the same ecosystem.
Likewise, DirectX 12 will be shipping with Windows 10 and promies to deliver better utilization of CPU cores, resulting in potentially a major performance increase while reducing power consumption by half.
The operating system is currently being beta tested.
