If you've been following gaming industry news, then you've probably heard of 'Project Morpheus,' the placeholder name given to Sony's upcoming virtual reality hardware. While a lot of virtual reality kits will feature a pretty lofty price point, Sony wants to offer theirs at a reduced cost.
Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios explained in an interview with Gizmodo:
“This is a console product so we like to provide our hardware at as low price as we can do. That approach is always consistent."
