Sony Still Wants Project Morpheus to Feature a Low Price

The virtual reality movement is not dead.

If you've been following gaming industry news, then you've probably heard of 'Project Morpheus,' the placeholder name given to Sony's upcoming virtual reality hardware. While a lot of virtual reality kits will feature a pretty lofty price point, Sony wants to offer theirs at a reduced cost.

Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios explained in an interview with Gizmodo:

 

“This is a console product so we like to provide our hardware at as low price as we can do. That approach is always consistent."

While this does raise some concerns as to the quality of the product, we highly doubt that Sony would create something less than satisfactory. We're willing to give the company a pass with Playstation Move…
