Trendy Entertainment, the developer of Dungeon Defenders and its upcoming sequel, Dungeon Defenders 2, has revealed in an interview that the soon-to-be-released title for the PC will be making its way to the PlayStation 4 but not the Xbox One.
Speaking to GamingBolt, the game’s Marketing Director Philip Asher stated that the game would only be released on PS4 as a console exclusive due to Sony’s policies for the platform.
“We really love the folks at PlayStation and right now a lot of policies on the PS4 made it a better fit for Dungeon Defenders 2, since it will be a free-to-play title,” he said.
The developer also explained how different character classes are set to interact with each other, with synergies between skills and traps of different classes.
“[F]or example, a Monk can place a lightning aura over a Huntress’ geyser trap. Then, when enemies walk through the geyser trap they will get wet and when they get dealt the electric damage from the lightning aura they will become stunned.”
An early access version of the PC version of the title has been well underway since early this year.
