343 Industries has revealed that they are delaying the release of Halo spinoff Spartan Strike, originally planned this coming December 12, to next year.
The reason for the delay? The company still hasn’t finished fixing the issues with matchmaking for Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Fixing online matchmaking has been made 343 Industries’ top priority.
In fact, 343 just released a patch for the game, with many fixes implemented to matchmaking alone. Among the issues they just fixed were problems with Halo 2 Anniversary matches continuing after one of the teams quit, an issue that makes player rank reset arbitrarily, an issue that causes players to go into the wrong lobby after a game, and general fixes to matchmaking balance, search times, and success rates.
Halo: Spartan Strike is the sequel to Halo: Spartan Assault, and is also a twin-stick shooter putting you in the role of a Spartan fighting in a series of wargames. These games were made for touch controls, on Windows Phone and Windows powered touch devices.
