The Xbox Series X is a highly sought-after console as is. This platform just launched last year, and with any new console platform, there’s plenty of players out there that want to get their hands on a unit. Unfortunately, the console platform launched at a difficult time. Thanks to the pandemic, there were shortages of units available. Mix that with the massive amount of hype, resulting in a ton of resellers flocking to the available stock.
Players are still having a tough time getting a unit nearly a year later and it’s frustrating. However, if you were hoping to get the new variant unit of the Xbox Series X that was just unveiled yesterday, then you’re out of luck. It looks like the new Halo Infinite Xbox Series X has already been sold out for pre-orders. This console was slated to launch on November 15, 2021, to coincide with the 20th anniversary of Halo: Combat Evolved.
Naturally, fans of the franchise were jumping online to get a unit pre-ordered. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. It looked like the stock was quickly claimed for. With it also came a flood of postings through sources like eBay. While you could potentially get a unit through a reseller, you’ll be paying quite a bit more. New reports are going out that unit pre-orders are available online for upwards of $1,500.
That’s not surprising as these consoles are still finding the base units sold online for an upsell price. It’s tough to deal with for consumers, and hopefully, that will mean another stock will be available for players to get a unit rather than a reseller potentially. Were you able to beat the scalpers online for this new Halo Infinite Xbox Series X variant?
