343 Industries has shared an update regarding the status of Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
No less than 343 Industries head Bonnie Ross apologized for failing to bring the experience that fans were expecting. They are still working on fixes for the game. She was not shy about naming issues with the game, including low session success rates and matchmaking times. This is priority for 343 Industries, and they are working closely with the Xbox platform team to address them.
They are also working on updates to content to address other issues, connected to the game campaigns, UI, etc.
Bonnie commits to frequent updates, multiple server side tweaks, and game content updates. They explain that splitting fixes on the server side and content separately is the best way to get significant progress, and they are working on it from both sides as quickly as possible.
Bonnie finally links to this page for updates, with the latest note indicating a patch is already set to deploy later in the week.
