Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor is a really important game because it changes the face of licensed games. While there have been many movie or content-based video games in the past, very few have been able to make it past the veritable gatekeeper, comprised of hundreds of game reviews. That said, some games can still succeed based just on their namesake. When your game is of quality development, you don't have to worry about whether or not that's the case.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, publisher of Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, is sending an array of commands down the pipeline to developers Monolith Productions and Behaviour Interactive. The game has featured a very strong complement of downloadable content, and it looks like Warner Bros. wants to make sure people know about it. They're offering a DLC bundle for free to players.
This bundle is named the "Power of Defiance" and will pit players against Sauron himself, as well as his troops. Gamers will also get the opportunity to test their mettle in the 'Test of Defiance' challenge mode.
Here's a list of the offerings:
· Play as Lithariel, daughter of Lady Marwen, Queen of Nurn
· Test of Defiance Challenge Mode – Players face the ultimate test to their warrior prowess as they defeat Sauron’s Warchiefs without cheating death or relying on the power of the Wraith.
· Epic Rune – Defiant to the End: Players gain an additional Last Chance to return to the fray in combat.
Looks like a pretty solid content bundle, especially given that it's completely free.
