Telltale Games’ Season Premiere for their Game of Thrones game will be out before the year ends.
This was confirmed on Twitter by Telltale’s PR person, Laura Perusco. She was reticent to provide more details, but only confirmed a date of Q4 2014 release. So, the game’s first episode (possibly not even the whole Episode 1 but just the premiere) could come out within this time.
We already know from a prior tweet that the game will revolve around a family that has not been shown in the TV show yet; House Forrester. This is a northern family with connections to House Glover. In fact, they have yet to appear in the books. However, these characters will occupy the same Game of Thrones universe, and so it is highly likely they are being developed with input from the franchise’s original creator, George R. R. Martin.
As our source speculates, the #IronFromIce hashtage seems to heavily imply that the game will be set within or close to the show’s current timeline. Perhaps the lack of screenshots or other details is due to the fact that they would by their nature include spoilers that neither the book readers or show fans have knowledge of yet.
