Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s minimum system requirements have been revealed on its Steam preorder page.
Sledgehammer Games’ latest is consistent with Call of Duty: Ghosts in terms of pushing requirements a little bit forward. The newer Call of Duty games can no longer work on Intel Core Duo, 2 GB RAM. Instead, you will need an i3-530, or PhenomTM X4 810. Like Ghosts, it also requires 6 GB RAM and DirectX 11.
Interestingly enough, on the graphics card end the game is not as demanding. A rig sporting a GTS 450 or a Radeon HD 5870 will do the job. Perhaps Sledgehammer recognized that this is a more prohibitive requirement than the others and adjusted accordingly. It also implies that the extra processing power required for the game is not needed for better quality graphics, but to run the game itself.
Lastly, Advanced Warfare ups the required storage space compared to Ghosts, from 40 GB to 50 GB.
The full list of minimum requirements is below. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be available as early as November 3, for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Windows.
