Looking for something to tide you over until the release of Bloodborne? A fan has put an original album up for fans on Bandcamp.
Titled Borne in Blood, musician Alex Roe says he has taken inspiration from both the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive, as well as the multiplatform Dark Souls / Demon's Souls series of games.
The songs take on the grandiose and brooding orchestration From's games have been known for as of late. Alex's work can be interpreted as part speculation on what he thinks certain parts of the game will be like, and what music From would choose to use, or in some cases, what he would prefer to hear.
The title track itself is inspired by the music from the trailer. Other pieces take elements from Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, where Alex believes From would try to evoke similar emotions and reactions.
Even if you are not a fan of From's games, this is great moody orchestral music, and suits the Halloween mood. Borne in Blood is pay what you want; you can listen to some of the tracks below and check out Alex Roe's other game-inspired work here.
Bloodborne will be released exclusively to PlayStation 4 in February 6, 2015.
