Rumor: Destiny Code Reveals Upcoming Trials Of Osiris Competitive Mode

September 22, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

You will have to earn your way in, and raise your reputation by staying in.

Thanks to data mining on Bungie’s code, fans have uncovered a secret, and perhaps upcoming, PvP mode for Destiny. Introducing the Trials of Osiris.

This PvP arena is nothing like Iron Banner. This will be the mode high skill players will be making their name in, and defending it. You will have to earn your way to get in.

Getting in requires a Tournament Ticket. It’s a drop when playing Crucible, but you will need to raise the chances you will earn it, because it does not just come up in general play.

By winning different Crucible modes, you’ll raise your Activity Reward Bonus. These Activity Reward bonuses are exclusive to each mode, so you really will have to raise your game. These bonuses also increase the chances you get a ticket.

When you do earn a ticket, the planet Mercury, and the playlist in it, gets unlocked.

So, what are the Trials actually like? Expect 3 on 3 action, with a three strikes rule – lose three times and you are kicked out.

Hopefully, sticking around for a certain period will lead to high level rewards as well, but first Bungie needs to confirm this rumor and announce a release date.
