Square Enix has unveiled the first two weeks of DLC for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call ahead of the game’s release, which it has marked with a launch trailer.
The rhythm-based game for the Nintendo 3DS is set for launch this Tuesday in North America and on Friday in Europe.
The base game offers 221 songs, which are set to expand with the release of available DLC. Square Enix, the game’s publisher, is releasing two DLC tracks for free until September 30: “Battle 2” from Final Fantasy V and “Roses of May” from Final Fantasy IX.
Each of the game’s available DLC—16 songs and two new characters—cost $0.99 each.
The game is a follow-up to the original Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, which came out in 2012. The game’s executive producer has expressed that he would like to create more games within the Theatrhythm setting based on other Square Enix properties. With that kind of thinking, we might even see a Deus Ex-themed music game. Wouldn’t that just be lovely?
