Nintendo fans have even more reason to get The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Switch 2 at launch, and as a physical Game Card.

As they announced last month, there will be a limited edition of the game that features a ‘special textured foil packaging.’ As Nintendo revealed on social media, what that actually means is it’s a holographic foil print.
The holographic effect is used in such a way that as you tilt the case, you can see rays of light refract. These rays hit Link and Zelda, as well as the game logo.
But that’s not all. As it turns out, the inside of this cover is also a map of the game. We’re not sure for now if this is true of the regular covers that will come after, but it certainly makes this first print run extra ‘collectible.’
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Nintendo was able to make this a golden Game Card, like the golden Nintendo 64 cartridge in 1998. But they’re definitely putting effort to make up for that in spades.
