Nintendo has given us our first in-depth look at The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Switch 2.

In The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct, Eiji Aonuma shared an extensive gameplay preview. We got to see how Young Link looks and plays, what parts of the game were improved with the original in mind, and so on. We also saw a trailer that gave us our first look at Zelda, Sheik, Ganon, and others.
Completely new to this game is integration with Zelda Notes, giving you potential rewards for certain daily activities aside from providing a guide for Link’s adventure.
Finally, Nintendo confirmed the release date of November 5, 2026. They just announced the remake out of nowhere last June, in what they clearly set as this holiday’s big release. If Nintendo plans to bring out a big game every holiday, this is a good one to pit against GTA 6.
