It looks like fans shouldn’t be worried that GTA 6 reviews won’t be out before launch.
Insider Gaming got things started by reporting that reviews are definitely releasing before launch. They also learned about the preliminary review embargo, so there will definitely be information that Rockstar still wants to keep under wraps until the game actually launches.
Insider Gaming won’t talk about the embargo, but that only makes sense as they want to stay in the industry’s good graces. More interestingly, Nate the Hate chimed in with more information of his own.
He said this in ResetERA when someone asked if review copies are already circulating:
Not yet but they will before end of the month.
On the side, if this schedule is accurate, than GTA 6 is eligible for nomination in The Game Awards this year. But what’s really important here is gamers getting a chance to read reviews before launch.
It will definitely be surprising if ratings don’t end up high, or if the MetaCritic metascores end up mixed. Even in that worst case scenario, we expect it will still be one of the biggest video game launches in history.
