Activision and Bungie are teaming up with the Red Bull Air Force Elite Skydiving Team to celebrate Destiny's launch on Tuesday.
To mark the game's release, one of Bungie's developers will take part in a coordinated skydive with an OpTic Gaming Performance Coach and the Red Bull Air Force on Monday. Following the jump, the those involved will join fans at the midnight Destiny launch event and get their hands on copies of the game.
As part of this partnership, Red Bull will create programming recording Destiny launch events for audiences worldwide. 'Destiny Drop Zone: OpTic Gaming Take to the Sky' is a three part series which will explore the preperation for the jump as well as the high-flying experience itself.
The series will be available to watch on the Red Bull YouTube channel and their eSports website.
Pete Parsons, Bungie's COO, comments, "We love Red Bull's passion for adventure and exploration and are excited to kick off this partnership with the launch of Destiny. As partners, we can't wait to see what awesome moments we dream up together."
Earlier today, Microsoft cheekily fired some shots at Activision as well as Sony's marketing exclusivity for Destiny with a fake 'Destiny Fragrance'.
A live action TV spot was also revealed last night.
