Redditor NeonDR has posted an image of the player versus player (PvP) modes which are set to feature in Bungie's open shooter Destiny.
The image comes from Destiny's mobile app via IGN and also contains information on the player versus environment (PvE) modes gamers can expect to check out when the game launches.
Strikes, Raids, and Exploration are all modes we're aware of, but the Halo-creator has kept quiet about Destiny’s PvP game modes, with the exception of Control mode.
Destiny's app mentions Skirmish, Lockdown, Team, and Rumble as additional game modes which we know nothing about at this point.
Given Bungie's Halo experience, Team is likely a straight up Team Deathmatch mode while Rumble is like a free-for-all style mode. It's unclear what to expect from Skirmish and Lockdown as this point but we do know that Control is a Domination-style game type.
It's entirely possible that more will be added and that this is not an exhaustive list. Perhaps more information on the game's modes will be revealed as part of the Bungie Day activites which kicks off shortly.
Destiny is set for release on September 9th for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One while the beta begins later this month.
