Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will be the most complex entry in the series to date, it will also include horse shit.
In a series of E3 previews, it has been revealed that The Phantom Pain includes mechanics from Peace Walker such as the Mother Base as well as brand new gameplay features. Peace Walker's Fulton recovery system will be among the returning features. Hostages will be indoctrinated into joining the Diamond Dogs, Snake's private military organisation.
During gameplay demonstrations, Snake was shown still learning to master his prosthetic arm and struggles to grip a canteen of water given to him by Ocelot who remarked that Miller must be rescued in three days or else they'll lose their chance to exact revenge on those responsible for the destruction of Mother Base in Ground Zeroes.
The success of recovery missions depend on aspects such as weather and terrain and you're given a success rate indicator in the form of a percentage, usually 80 per cent in good weather.
You can grab a seat in a vehicle or get on top of a container and use the Fulton system for a quick escape back to the Mother Base. You'll be able to grab and incapacitate enemies when you're hiding inside dumpsters.
The Mother Base is customisable and features people, equippment, and animales recovered from the field and can also be attacked. The Mother Base will be vitallly important in the game.
Obviously, the most important news from these previews was the clarification from a producer that "Your horse will defecate. That's a feature."
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain could be released as early as this October which seems unlikely at this point or as late as December 2015.
