Naughty Dog fans have found a hidden message in Uncharted 4's trailer. A skeleton is shown trapped in a cage at one point in the video with a message carved into the metal reading "For we receive the due reward of our deeds" which is from Luke 23:41 in the Bible.
The verse in question was said by a thief who was hung on a cross next to Jesus which seems to tie-in nicely with the game's title A Thief's End.
Uncharted 4's announcement trailer, revealed last November at the PS4 launch event, also appears to have contained a reference to Jesus's response in Luke 23:43 which was, "Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with me in paradise."
Based on the details we've garnered so far, it seems Uncharted 4 will be set on Madagascar or the east coast of Africa and be heavily influenced by pirates who operated in the region such as Henry Every, a 17th century pirate captain.
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End launches on PlayStation 4 in 2015.
