In an end to the four-year transition of power announced (ironically enough) four years ago, Ken Kutaragi has officially stepped down as Honorary Chairman at Sony Computer Entertainment Inc, and has handed the reigns over to Kazuo Hirai, who's basically been doing the job anyway for the last year or two anyway. Now it's just official, is all. Ken's still at Sony, though, as he's acting as an adviser for a while yet.
A foreigner will be taking up Kaz's now empty seat of President and Group CEO, Andrew Groen, who is currently the President, CEO and Co-COO at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.
