The Pokemon Company is set to distribute a "fancy pattern" vivillon to mark 100 million Pokemon trades using the Global Trade Station (GTS) in Pokemon X and Pokemon Y.
Vivillon, a bug and flying type Pokemon, is unique in that its wing pattern is determined by the real world location of the player and there are 20 known styles.
However, this new vivillon will be different. In a press release, it was revealed that the specially distributed Pokemon will be the same no matter where you are in the world:
"This newly discovered Vivillon breaks with that tradition: it will become available to Pokémon fans across the globe once the 100 millionth Pokémon is traded via the GTS. When this enormous milestone is reached, a special distribution event will take place, enabling all players of Pokémon X or Pokémon Y to receive the Fancy Pattern Vivillon wherever they are in the world!"
Over 90 million trades have been made so far and once the 100 million milestone is crossed, users can head to Pokemon.com for details on how to get this special vivillon.
