A macro is a user-defined automated command that allows you to record multiple actions and trigger them with a single button or keystroke. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has support for macros, even on the PS3 and PS4 versions of the game.
If you play FFXIV on the PS3 and picked up the upgraded version for the PS4, you may want to convert some of your older macros to the new system. Thankfully, there’s an easy way to do this.
- From your PS3 at the password screen, there is an option in the bottom right-hand corner that says PS3-PS4. Click on it.
- Go through the prompts until it asks you to launch the game on the PS4.
- When you launch the PS4 version of the game, you will need to click on that icon again.
- Here’s where it’s easy to mess up. There is a tiny checkbox right about where it says import. If you do not uncheck the box it will not import your settings. After you uncheck it, hit import and log in normally.
The data transferred includes the hotbars, gear, sets, macros, log filter, settings, and keybinds.
