There’s a ton of love for Fall Guys. It was a surprise breakout hit indie title that managed to gain a massive audience in a short amount of time. This game was released during the coronavirus health pandemic outbreak so there are more potential players readily at home to enjoy this game. Also, this title was released as a PlayStation Plus game. For a good while, you couldn’t escape Fall Guys as it flooded the internet through the likes of Twitch and YouTube.
Now that some time has passed, there may have been a few players growing a bit bored with the game. Overall, the title is a battle royale game where players take the role of a bean-like character. From there, a total of sixty players are put through a series of mini-games as they attempt to be the last player standing. This game may have gained a new surge of players returning as the title recently just received a second season. Through the second season, players were given a new set of levels and costumes to unlock. Furthermore, the developers have made earning crowns a bit easier with the in-game currency releasing as milestone achievements along with winning games.
Now it looks like Sonic is invading Fall Guys this month. A partnership with Sega and Mediatonic is allowing the iconic hedgehog video game character to be featured in the title. This costume can be unlocked for 10 crowns start on October 14, 2020. That’s just a couple days away which means if you haven’t already earned enough crowns yet then you may want to start going through some games now.
This is not the first crossover costume we’ve seen in Mediatonic’s Fall Guys. It’s likely that we’ll see more video game character crossovers happen with this title. However, what we’re interested in seeing is just how many players return to Fall Guys this month. There’s a new iconic indie title hit making a big splash online and that’s the sleeper hit Among Us which may keep players on that game for the foreseeable future.
