Fable Legends developer Lionhead has released a new behind-the-scenes video looking at the game's production which has revealed new details on the map, quests, characters, and more.
Game director David Eckelberry hinted at the possibility of a dog companion returning to the series saying, “we’re looking at that one, especially some characters who have a pet all the time.” Eckelberry also noted that there will be "canine love."
Level designer David Bridle went on to say that while every Fable Legends quest will be different, each will involve the player-heroes and villain crossing paths at some point. The goal will not be to defeat the villain who can set traps and otherwise hinder the heroes as they try to achive their objectives.
The game will launch with one central hub town with extra towns added post-release with DLC including new quests, maps, and heroes planned. Lionhead teased a Hollywood-grade voice cast for the game.
A Fable Legends beta will be launched this year. Studio boss John Needham has said that Microsoft wants Lionhead to develop "the most ambitious Fable game you can possibly get.
