It was back in May of this year that we got the reveal of Hangar 13 coming out to deliver a trilogy remaster of the Mafia franchise. This generated quite a bit of buzz for fans and those that wanted to enjoy this game would find that there is plenty of work being placed into the game, especially the first installment that launched a number of years ago. Now it looks like Mafia: Definitive Edition is being delayed and it’s all due to the current health outbreak pandemic going on right now thanks to the coronavirus.
We’re sure that you are all familiar with the coronavirus as it’s become a global spread outbreak. With so many infected and others attempting to regain some footing, the real race right now it finding a vaccine to prevent this event from going on continuously. This outbreak has made an impact on every industry and while there are still video games being pushed out into the market thanks to developers working remotely, some of those intended releases have been shuffled around to allow developers a bit more time to work after adjusting to their new home offices.
Now the development team has alerted fans through the official Mafia Twitter account that the game has been delayed. It’s a title that was originally slated to launch on August 28, 2020 but has since been pushed back to September 25, 2020. As mentioned, this is to allow the development to further polish the game. After all, it was previously stated that this game would further expand and enhance the gameplay experience which means there is more work cut out for the team to handle.
