Peter Serafinowicz has been cast as treasure hunter Pate in From Software's Dark Souls 2.
Namco Bandai said the actor is a big fan of the series and Serafinowicz commented, "Dark Souls is the most engrossing game I've ever played. For me, it's the best game of all time".
Serafinomicz is best known for Spaced, Shaun of the Dead, and The Peter Serafinowicz Show. He also voiced Darth Maul in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. He has also done videogame voices in Star Wars: Battlefront 2 and LEGO City Undercover.
As for Pate, Namco Bandai said: "Players will encounter this mysterious man during his journey in search of treasure. He may teach players a few tricks of his own in order to survive during their quest. Will they dare to trust this enigmatic character?"
Dark Souls 2 launches on March 14th for PS3 and Xbox 360. A PC release will be available shortly after.
