Namco Bandai will henceforth be known as Bandai Namco, the company has announced.
The change mainly affects the firm's divisions outside Japan; at home, the publisher is already called Bandai Namco. 31 subsidiaries will adapt their title from April 1st with 25 foreign and six domestic branches of the company involved in the name change.
A board of director's meeting held yesterday came to the decision and all of the subsidiaries impacted by the change have been listed in a press release released by the company.
While the publisher is offically called Bandai Namco in Japanese, the English name for branches of the company at home is still Namco Bandai. This will officially change from April.
According to the company, the decision was made in order to improve the appeal and value of the firm internationally.
