2020 has been full of anticipated video game releases, but easily one of the biggest titles coming out this year had been Cyberpunk 2077. This is a game that has been teased and hyped up for several years now and as we get closer to that release date, there may be a fear of a delay announcement. It’s a justified fear as we’re dealing with a worldwide health pandemic. Studios are closed up and employees are working from home. As a result, there could be some delays for video game projects due to the unexpected outbreak.
However, don’t expect a delay announcement from Cyberpunk 2077. While this game has been delayed in the past, its latest release date is for September of this year. There hasn’t been much unveiled for the game in a good while which again could give some potential players a reason to suspect there are some hangups within the game development. That’s not going to be the case, as we’re finding out right now that CD Projekt Red has made mention of their anticipated game during a financial report.
In this report, the development studio was able to state that Cyberpunk 2077 is in its final stages of development. We heard in the past that this game is essentially completed in terms of the campaign, but there is obviously plenty of work required to bring it out into the public. With the game being in its final stage of development, we can expect the title to release on time.
Currently, as mentioned earlier, Cyberpunk 2077 is slated to release on September 17, 2020, for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia platforms. There will be ports brought out for next-generation console platforms as well.
