Lionhead studio president John Needham has told Eurogamer that the developer is working on a game that is not "Fable-esque".
While Lionhead is "primarily" the Fable studio, Needham commented "we're working on other games, too. We're working on other different sorts of games as well that we're not talking about right now and won't be Fable-esque."
Lionhead's studio director Stuart Whyte added:
"We've worked on a number of Fable games. We did The Movies. We did Black & White. We're not just a Fable studio. Judging by where we are at the moment we've had a lot of Fable games in recent times, but I wouldn't say that we're just Fable. I can't really say any more at this point!"
Needham and Whyte's comments come after the discovery last week that former Lionhead animator Frank Laurin was developing an "unannounced project."
Next month sees the release of Fable: Anniversary, a remake of the original game for Xbox 360, and the studio is also working on Fable: Legends which is set to enter beta sometime this year for Xbox One.
